Hi, I’m Alisha Peck.
Do you want to feel more balanced and well-rounded? Clients should expect a holistically focused personalized treatment plan with their active involvement respective of their personal values and needs in order to promote healing. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and intuitive.
I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing and transformation. We have the ability to discover and awaken parts of ourselves that are innate and hidden by struggles in our lives. We have the ability to regain balance and become authentic.
After many years of working in Medical Social Work, I feel the need to incorporate body, mind, and spirit into the healing process and holistically look at how each individual uniquely heals. I have extensive experience with family preservation, trauma therapy, grief therapy, and substance abuse treatment. Incorporation of Art Therapy.
Education and Background
I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my Bachelor Degree in Psychology in 2004. I wanted to experience field work before going into my Master’s degree. I was able to work at Lockwood MacDonald Inpatient Mental Health Unit, a Community Free Clinic, and Wellspring Lutheran Services (formerly Lutheran Child & Family Service) working to preserve families and prevent children from being removed from the home. In 2011, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I had the privilege of working in many different types of social work including Medical Social Work within a local hospital, DHS (working in CPS, Foster Care & Licensing), Hospice, Inpatient Substance Use Treatment facility, and for a local Medical Clinic providing clinical therapy and MAT services. During that time I established my Private Practice in 2016. My private practice has been primarily part time up until 2022 when I opened full time. I work primarily via telehealth with a new office in the works in the very near future.

My Approach
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and intuitive. I work with both Substance Use Therapy and Mental Health & Wellness. While diagnostics are important for understanding our struggles and determining a treatment method, I prefer to focus on how to help you grow and adapt so that you can live a fulfilling life without being stuck in a box or category within a label. Please do not accept your diagnosis as a permanent state, but rather a starting point to heal.
Offering Individual, Family, and Relationship Counseling.
Substance Use Therapy
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is offered and I collaborate with your Primary Care Provider and other professionals within your contract to ensure that your counseling requirements are met.
Diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, consistent appointments for therapy, and communication with other professionals in your care plan are provided.
Co-occurring disorders are treated with individual treatment plans to address both SUD and Mental Health diagnoses.
Mental Health & Wellness
At some point in time, everyone can benefit from therapeutic services. I am thrilled that mental health is being prioritized and the stigma for seeking help is significantly reduced. YOU are worth taking care of! I have experience treating Anxiety, Depression, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder and Schizoaffective disorders.
Not sure you meet those diagnoses? No worries, sometimes you just need to talk through your problems or concerns to get clarity on the direction you want to go with your life. I can help you there as well.

From the battlefields of a depressed mind:
"I have deduced that depression/anxiety are jealous lovers and have been trying really hard to get me into a throuple!!! No thanks bitches. It pisses me off with the 'you need to stay in bed and suffer having your brain think the darkest, nope not dark enough - DARKER'. Such horseshit and I am breaking up with my depression."
When I asked permission to post this quote my client responds:
"Please do...I mean it's from the minefields of horror that a depressed anxious brain spawns. Ew"
